English
We completed activities related to our international day countries and a big write assessment.

Math
This week Year 2 have been learning about rounding 2-digit numbers to the nearest 10. They’ve also been estimating amounts by choosing a range and then counting in 10s to find the exact amount.
  • Revise doubles and corresponding halves to 15;
  • find half of odd and even numbers to 30;
  • Revise and recognise 1/2s, 1/4s, 1/3s and 2/3s of shapes;
  • place 1/2s on a number line; count in 1/2s and 1/4s;
  • understand and write mixed numbers.
Humanities
We completed activities related to our international day countries.
  • Year two will be starting a new topic on ‘Civilisations’. We’ll be thinking about differences between the 19th century and now and also constructing some questions to ask grandparents.
Science
We concluded our work on the topic of forces and movement by evaluating the data from our investigation and drawing some simple conclusions.
  • begin our topic on grouping and changing materials
Art
We completed activities related to our international day countries.
  • Looking at Victorian fashion by dressing victorian paper dolls.
PSHE
We completed activities related to our international day countries.
