We enjoyed reading a story called 'Handas surprise' talking about what kind of fruit she put in her basket. We talked about which fruit we like and dislike.
Today we had fun making up different textures for our fruits such as painting with a fork, dot painting for our strawberries or sponge painting for a green apple.

As a class we have made our own story book about going into outer space. Each child got to say what they saw in space or what they were doing and then draw a picture of it. Here you can see some amazing drawings that the children have come up with so far lets take a look and see what we can find.
I saw a rabbit and a bear dancing on the moon!
I saw a mommy and baby alien under a rainbow.
I went on a rocket ship to the moon with my family.
I saw an alien playing with a toy dinosaur!
Violin saw an airplane and left to go to disneyland.
Nokyoong went on a rocket ship with her family to the moon.

Welcome Back! How's the weather...
Dear Parents,
I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday break and got lots of rest. I know the children were happy and excited to be back at school with all their friends. We had a great first week back talking about weather. Here you can see the children were enjoying making clouds. After reading the story 'clouds' we each used some shaving cream to explore the texture of a cloud and create our own cloud design.
We also explored rainbows and why and when we see them in the sky. Here you can see the children making their beautiful colorful rainbows that now hang in the classroom!

The children did so great at learning a new song called "How's the weather?" Ask your children to sing the song as the often will sing it to their friends every morning!
