During UOI we were able to think of the new vocabulary that we have used and then we created a word wall which included the words in English, Thai and Mandarin Languages.

We started our new unit, ‘Stories from another culture’ by discussing two
different stories set in Africa and South America. We will be identifying
various points of view, building our retelling skills, as well as our
developing out writing
|
We will continue exploring stories from different cultures with our focus
on writing techniques and towards the end of the week; we will do some
writing of our own.

Maths
|
Learn × and ÷ facts for the 6 and 9 times-table and identify patterns;
multiply multiples of 10 by single-digit numbers; multiply 2-digit numbers by
single-digit numbers (the grid method); find fractions of amounts
|
Tell and write the time to the minute on analogue and digital
clocks; calculate time intervals; measure in metres, centimetres and
millimetres; convert lengths between units; record using decimal notation
|

UOI
|
As an extension to our ‘Finding Out stage’, we made surveys to find out
more about our topic.
|
Analyzing and presenting the data that we collected in our surveys, discussing
conflict, as well as incorporating our Learner Profiles.

relationships.

Profiles.
