This morning we went to the Primary Library to look for non-chronological reports. We knew we had to look in the non-fiction section of the library to find them. We used a checklist to help us identify non-chronological reports. The checklist had all the features of a non-chronological report. We wrote a list of all the books we found non-chronological reports in. We found over 20 books!

Non-chronological Reports
We have begun looking at non-chronological reports. We explored the different features of a non-chronological report and compared those features to the features of a story book. Next, we read a range of non-chronological reports and noted down three interesting facts we learnt from our reading.

Adventure Stories
Today we have been continuing to write our adventure stories. We edited our story openings from yesterday to check they made sense and to check that we had used the correct spelling and grammar. Afterwards, we wrote the build-up to our stories. Then we peer assessed each others work and wrote comments in each others books.

Guest Speaker
Today Apple's dad came in to speak to use about his culture. We found out he has lived in lots of different countries all over the world including England, Fuji, Liberia and Pakistan. He showed us pictures of all the places he has lived and told us interesting facts about the buildings and different cultures. We really enjoyed listening to his adventures and learning about different places around the world. We hope to have more guest speakers to tell us about their culture too.
