Last week we looked at toys from different countries. Y1H also learnt that some children are very poor and cannot afford to have toys, so they use different objects to play with. We looked at children from Armenia, who often play a game called 'Egg Jousting', with hard boiled eggs. First we painted the eggs and then we took them outside to joust! At the end of our egg jousting tournament there were two winners, who had the strongest eggs! Well done Meena and Joshua!!

Investigating forces
Our new topic in Science this half term is 'Pushes and Pulls'. So this week we investigated the force 'Pull' by using magnets. Y1H had to explore which objects in the classroom were magnetic and nonmagnetic. They did a fantastic job, well done everybody!

Happy Loy Krathong!
What a fantastic day! Y1H danced so well in front of so many people in today's Loy Krathong ceremony, well done! We had lots of fun playing Thai games too. Thank you to all parents for making such a great effort with the Thai costumes today.
