Fire Safety and Loy Krathong Day!

Last week we looked at fire safety and what to do in case of a fire. We talked about the important role of a fireman.

In phonics we played putting out the sounds with a water spray as we heard them. We made some super fire tucks and learned some cool songs.

We ended the week with Loy Krathong day. Everyone looked fantastic in their outfits and had fun making Krathongs and playing traditional Thai games.

The Gruffalo

Last week was our book week and we looked at 'The Gruffalo' by Julia Donaldson. The children made scary Gruffalo masks. This story is a great way to introduce rhyming words, which we tried to spot throughout the week! On Friday it was lovely to see lots of beautiful Snow Whites and princesses along with lots of Superheroes!

"My favourite food is Teema on toast"!

Who's that?!

Halloween Fun!!

Last week we had so much fun making Halloween crafts. We made bats, spiders, ghosts, pumpkins and scary pasta skeletons which we labelled with body part names. Children had fun 'Trick or treating' around the Early years classrooms.

Children tried very hard using their knowledge of sounds so far to read simple words such as hat, bat, cat, rat and bug, well done RM!!
