It was great to see all the children back to school today excited and happy to see their classmates again! They soon settled into their new classroom and joined in with activities. We have been looking at everyone names, trying to recognise them and learn the beginning sounds.

Lets go hunting for insects!

Today we had a great day learning about different insects. The children were able to name off quite a few insects and how we have to be careful when we see them, such as no touching or stepping on them. They enjoyed walking around school with their clipboards researching which insects they could see. Today we saw lots of ants, big and small, along with flies, bumble bees and spiders. Everyone had a great time and hope they continue to look around their home for different insects as well.
Take a look at some of our pictures from our mini beast adventure.

Duck Duck goose

This week we have been enjoying fun games during circle time. The children have come to learn which games they love and always get excited when they get to choose our circle time game. They have become so good at listening that each game a new person explains the directions on how to play. Here we are playing a game of duck, duck goose!

Let's explore sea creatures!

It has been a great week in Kindergarten learning all about the ocean and different sea creatures. The children enjoy talking about the different animals in the sea and how they move around. We explored how crabs move through the sand and can hide under different shells and dig holes through the sand. They explored how different sea creatures such as whales, dolphins, sharks and jellyfish can move throughout the water. Take a look at our pictures and see what fun the children had using water and sand trays to explore the ocean.
