It has been a great week in Kindergarten learning all about the ocean and different sea creatures. The children enjoy talking about the different animals in the sea and how they move around. We explored how crabs move through the sand and can hide under different shells and dig holes through the sand. They explored how different sea creatures such as whales, dolphins, sharks and jellyfish can move throughout the water. Take a look at our pictures and see what fun the children had using water and sand trays to explore the ocean.

Let's go swimming
The children were so happy that it was swimming day today! Every week they look forward to this day and will talk about. saying "is it time to swim, can we go swimming now Mrs Casey?" I am proud to say they have become much more confident in the pool and love to join in games and play alongside their friends. Here are a couple of pictures to show how much fun they have in the splash pool.

Run run as fast as you can!
This week in Kindergarten we have been continuing our topic of 'The gingerbread man.' The children have been listening and getting familiar with the characters. Today we used our puppet masks to act out the story and what animals tried to eat the gingerbread man. Everyone took a turn playing a character and using repetitive language such as 'I want to eat you, or run run as fast as you can you can't catch me i'm the gingerbread man.' They all did a fantastic job and we had a lot of fun!
I'm the gingerbread man you can't get me!
And then there were 2 pigs who said, "we are very hungry!"
The horse tried to eat the gingerbread man but luckily he can run fast!
On the way we saw a boy and a dog!
Oh no the gingerbread man better run fast everyone is coming!
on the way we saw a girl! I think she's getting hungry!

Welcome to Safari World!
Today was a fantastic, fun filled day. The children did great on their first ever Kindergarten excursion. Everyone was so excited and could not wait to see all the animals. They were great listeners today and did very well at following all the directions and trying new things such as walking on a wobbly bridge, feeding a giraffe and watching a sea lion show.
Everyone loved feeding the giraffe's and they had the biggest smiles on their faces when the giraffe took their food. I am very proud of how well the children did and that everyone had a great time.
Thank you again to all the parents that helped out it was greatly appreciated!

Gingerbread Man!
This week in Kindergarten we have been focusing on the traditional story 'The gingerbread man.'
The children had a great time in ICT class decorating their own gingerbread man. They each chose different shapes and colours for the eyes, mouth, nose and buttons for his body.
When they finished they would say "run run as fast as you can you can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread man!"
Take a look at some of our kids in action!
